Zine Club is a design, development and curatorial
project by Sylvana dAngelo.

As we embrace digital culture I see publishing shifting and expanding the idea of how we share information. Can we make art that takes up a small amount of space, but reverberate profoundly through out the world?

Sylvana dAngelo studies the human condition and endeavours to understand culture through superstition and belief. Blurring the lines between what could be real from what is real, her work is a visual study of idealism and the underlying interconnected evolution of progress.

She lives and works from the unceded Territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations

Since 2014 Zine Club has been pursuing annual goals by creating and re-interpreting projects as print zines, digitally presented media and exhibition. We have exhibited print and media together as installations at The Vancouver Art Gallery, Print Ready, Prague Zine Fest, Zine Camp at WORM in Rotterdam and the Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

We published our first collaborative effort with Project Space in 2014 and have since collaborated with Alex Grundenfelder, Prado Prado, Moniker Press, Current: A Feminist Electronic Symposium and Christopher Laursen to publish media projects as print publications.
